On September 9th, 2022, the Walt Disney company held a panel called the D23 Expo. This is a three-day event that goes from September 9th through the 11th. This event has multiple releases and celebrations of new Disney content coming this year and in 2023. However the second panel of the first day of the event had some of the most exciting news that Marvel fans could ask for.
This panel released announcements, trailers, clips of movies, and casts that are now going to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kevin Fiege is the man behind the MCU as a whole and claims that he already has a plan for the next 10 years for the MCU. This created even more excitement at the panel.
The first sneak peak that was revealed was a clip of the new Black Panther movie titled “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” brought out by the Direct Ryan Coogler. After the clip of Black Panther being shown to the audience Kevin Feige teased the new Disney+ series “Iron Heart'' is the cross between technology which is assumed can be the technology we would see in the Iron Man movies and magic, possibly the magic seen in the “Eternals''. Then returning actors such as Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Johnathan Majors started to make their way on stage for a discussion and release some clips of the new Ant-Man movie titled “Ant-Man and The Wasp” Quantamania”. “Secret Invasion” was the next show discussed but also included a teaser that another show called “Armor Wars” will begin filming in 2023. Then more returning actors came onto stage who were the cast of “Loki” who screened a teaser trailer to the second season of the “Loki” and the director of “WandaVision”, Matt Shakman is confirmed to redirect the “Fantastic Four” movie.
After these five productions were teased five more were still left in the event to be teased and the sixth one was one titled “Echo” this Disney+ series is based on the character in “Hawkeye” and will heavily use American Sign language. This is definitely the show that had the most curiosity behind it. After the “Echo” announcement there was “Daredevil: Born Again” is a series however it has no released clips because filming had not started yet but will have Matthew Murdock reprising his role as Daredevil. More returning actors were confirmed to reprise their roles such as Anthony Mackie as Captain America in “Captain America: New World Order”. If you think that the returning actors who have been mentioned already makes you excited to see the growth of the characters and of the MCU just wait for the “Thunderbolts”. This film has the actors and actresses of Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Olga Kurylenko as Task Master, Wyatt Russel as John Walker aka U.S. Agent, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova and Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier.
