The Eisenhower High School Band and Colorguard performed at their first band competition on Saturday, October 2. being the only Band this year in the district participating in band competitions. Being the only band this year in the district participating in band competitions, our very own Eisenhower High School Band and Colorguard did not just represent Ike, but also the entire district. The EHS Band and Colorguard, sometimes called Ike Band and Guard for short, participates in division 2A of the WBA (Western Band Association). The Western Band Association is a nonprofit organization that hosts band competitions and features bands from throughout the West Coast. The competition took place at Mission Viejo High School in Mission Viejo, California and lasted from 5:30 pm to around 10 pm. Ike Band and Guard went out to play at 6:11 pm, where they performed their show “The Age of Baroque”. They were the first in their division to compete.
The EHS Band and Colorguard competed against two other schools, Los Alamitos High School as well as Mission Viejo High School. Ike Band and Guard came in 3rd place in their division with a final score of 55. 400.
