The entirety of my four years at Eisenhower High School were spent with days of laughter and joy despite all of the studying I did to achieve the grades I truly wanted. Now that I look back, I’m glad with how things turned out and my involvement with the school’s extracurricular activities such as Journalism because it showed me how much I love writing as a hobby. It was probably one of the few factors that contributed to my creativity in journaling/scrapbooking. This activity of mine documents my life in a unique perspective that I can preserve for many more years to come and makes me appreciate the life I have around me. It is heartbreaking to see how much older I’ve become by saying goodbye to not only The Golden Gazette, but all of my friends who have shown me love and happiness. I will forever treasure the warmhearted moments we spent together in and out of school, even if it was just comfortable silence. On the bright side, I know the closing of my high school years represents that there’s still so much more to see and opportunities to chase for the rest of my life, which I’m excited to experience. :)
