This year the Girls Volleyball team practiced and fought hard for their position as 1st in the Skyline League and getting the opportunity to play their first CIF round on October 20th, 2022. Going up against Lighthouse Christian Academy located in Santa Monica, these ladies played aggressive and smart giving a 5 set Game of 2-3. Sadly our season has come to an end, but the memories will go on.
All of varsity has practiced since the season was brought back up last school year. Starting on May 30th and pulling through daily summer break practices until now. Since then, we’ve all learned that we were more than just teammates, but companions and gave each other that family feel. It was also more than just practice but time to bond and play competitively against each other with no sort of hard feelings but happiness for each other's accomplishments. Having the opportunity to be in and see behind the scenes from what goes on down on our court as well as others is amazing. Seeing the improvement and dedication we’ve all had even on personal bad days or Coach Frost pushing us to our limits to do more and fight more. I would like to thank her for showing us to be hungry for that win. It wasn’t always all fun and games during practice but it was also discipline and conditioning that has gotten us where we are now. Running back and forth in the gym the last 20 minutes of practice with the insane amount of leg workouts to rallying with each other and surprising ourselves with our abilities. I believe that all of the varsity is proud to say that we won first place in our league and got to play in Division 9 of CIF.
