As you may know there are many Athletic sports on campus but one of the sports the school has is Cross country. Cross Country has been here at this school for a long time and some of the coaches on the team are Mr. Bibien, Ms. Lopez, Mr. Mendez, and also Mr. Melesio. If you want to join cross country they say it's a safe place to make more friends, meet new people, and to have fun. As Coach Bibien says you get to “Come together as a community and as a family”.

Current members of the team also shared some of their thoughts on cross country. Erika Espinsoa said that “Even though you might not enjoy running for her it's an escape”. As Erika said, it's her escape and maybe it can be yours too. Another member on the team, Adriel Bobadilla, says that if you wanna join cross country and you wanna do it as a type of competition to not worry about how others are doing but to focus on yourself. When talking with the team they had said their biggest competition was Rim of the World high school.

Now, if cross country is something you want to do you should know with doing any

sport you should have 2.0 or higher, but Coach Bibien does expect higher expectations from the team no matter what, even if they have a 2.0 or higher. Another two members on the team like Elaine Corral says that she feels like for her it's a mental sport she enjoys and she makes a lot of memories. Manuel Perez said that he likes to see the nature around the world or just go around different places.

Their next big thing coming up is their league finals on October 30 against 6 different schools such as Kaiser, Colton, Rialto, Grand terrace, and Rim of the World high school. It has been amazing to work with the cross country team and to see how much hard work they put in at practice and how amazing the coaches are with their students. I can see how amazing their bond is. They’re hoping that if people join they'll find it as a place to have fun, exercise, to create bonds that will last a lifetime, and to have it be a safe place for students.
