Eisenhower and the Clippers

By: De'Kree Antone

Tuesday 11/23 Eisenhower High School was invited to come and play against Carter high at the Toyota center in Ontario, Home of the Agua Caliente Clippers which played later that night. As said by the president of the team and the center, this was their first game this season where they invited local high schools to come and play on their court. He said that for the first time everything ran smoothly and was well-ordered.

Congrats to our Ike basketball team for the win against Carter that day with a total score of 69-66. If you were able to attend the game you would know that it was definitely something that you were able to get invested in on both sides of the arena. Carter had a major lead in the first 2 quarters. But Ike pushed through and with a surprise made 6 points back to back. The crowd was ecstatic to witness such a great combat. All of our players played with heart and were in the right state of mind. Main players that made this possible was #11 Jordan King, #1 Kameron Gardner, #00 Steven Jaramil and #5 Tyrell.

Shoutout to our Ike cheer team for keeping up the spirits of everyone when hope was low in the final quarters. Not only that but to sacrifice their time to not only Perform for Ike’s and Carter's halftime but also to perform during the Clippers game even due to the disorganization that was caused by officials at the arena. Even through all of that they kept a smile and cheered for the people that had attended. Aside from all of this people were able to enjoy two games in one for a price of 13 dollar if your from either Ike or or Carter overall both event were a huge success and it was a nice time to do in break.

Again congrats to our Eisenhower basketball team for the win and pray there will be many more to follow.
