What are a few things that can help a person deal with stress or anxiety?

  • Meditation

Meditation is known to help ease a person when having anxiety and stress because it helps you recollect your thoughts when they are all scattered and it will also help improve your sleep schedule if you meditate consistently. There are many factors to why that it is if you have medical problems or if you tend to smoke those are two factors or lack of exercise there are some people that want to lose weight they go to the gym and work out for a little while they push themselves to hard in that short time that they struggle breathing because the body isn’t used to that type of strain which causes your body to go into distress.

  • Time management make a schedule for yourself

  • Yoga

There are many benefits to yoga but it tends to be the one that is least used . Yoga can relieve stress or reduce anxiety and yoga can also help with pain relief which a lot of people aren’t aware of. But yoga has helped people that have chronic conditions and it can help ease back and neck pain. Another benefit with yoga is that it helps improve circulation and if you do a yoga practice known as pranayama it is a breathing practice that can help your body relax, reduce stress and improve your lung function.

It will help you gain energy and will protect you later on in the future most people as they grow older tend to not workout and that’s gonna affect them because exercising can prevent a person to have medical problems such as chronic conditions , type 2 diabetes, heart diease, many types of cancer (colon ,breast cancer), depression and anxiety along with dementia . According to the CDC an adult should be working out at least for two in half hours each week and children from the age of six up to seventeen should workout for an hour each day. If you have trouble sleeping, exercising will help you sleep better and if you have high blood pressure this will help you control your blood pressure.

Mental health has been worse with COVID because it has people isolated just being stuck inside their house every day with no escape, no outlet. There are also a lot of people that have lost their jobs because of covid which are causing people to have anxiety along with falling into depression and going into more financial struggles. Suicide rates have increased due to Covid-19 those who have taken their lives are being called “the deaths of despair “ .For most people their way to escape and to take a break from family problems was going to school or work and for people who were having problems at school and work their way to escape was to go home but now because of Covid-19 that is all in one home is school and for some work has stopped or are working from home.Overall please check in with your friends and family but make sure you are taking care of yourself as well and please remember that if you are going through something right now that you can change your path or can make your situation better if not right now you can in the future so do this if you are struggling look into a mirror and imagine yourself where you want to be.
