It's Raining. How about some Crumbl Cookies.

By Emily Ibarra

It is the beginning of rainy season and we’ll see what kind of special cookies we will be receiving for the week. For context, Crumbl cookies is one of the most popular for the time being dessert companies, mainly known for their weekly cookies. The week I went, the lineup consisted of the classic chocolate chip cookie, pumpkin chocolate chip, caramel apple, maple cream sandwich, chocolate peanut butter pie, and last but not least a tres leches cake. To make things a little more exciting, I invited my brother to help and try to “finish” the desserts as their sizes are immense, so we cut each dessert to 1/4 to get a fair share of each dessert. Having a singular person finish an entire box would be fairly difficult, considering that each cookie on average contains 700 calories.

Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie

This was our favorite cookie, being a little less overbearing than the other ones. It has the perfect amount of chocolate chips, and the cookie dough was nice and soft, despite leaving the desserts in the fridge. 9.5/10

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie

This cookie had a cake/spongy like texture, and the pumpkin taste really did kick in, which is not in favor of my preference. 5/10

Caramel Apple Cookie

I really enjoyed this cookie, it was a little brittle but there were apple chunks and caramel drizzle on in, giving it some uniqueness 9/10

Maple Cream Sandwich

This cookie was pretty messy trying to bite into it, but the sweet frosting made up for it, as well as the cookie print decoration of a maple leaf. 8/10

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

This cookie tastes exactly like it’s name, but it leans more towards the peanut butter taste, with some chocolate flavoring aside which was a little overbearing. 5.5/10

Tres Leches Cake

This cake was half frosting and half cake when trying to take a chunk, but it overall tasted like a nice pulpy cake with a hint of cinnamon, which reminded me of the season of Halloween. 8.5/10

Overall, The rating of the entire setlist of cookies plus the cake was 7.5 out of 10. I enjoyed the desserts that leaned towards the classics, for example the tres leches cake and the milk chocolate chip cookie. It’s more certain that dessert lovers and foodies will definitely enjoy Crumbl cookies, and it was pretty exciting to find out why the hype was circulating.
