Ten years ago, there was a boy that found his first love. Raymond Gutierez #57 has been blocking opponents on field since he was 7 years old and hasn’t stopped since. After high school, Raymond envisions pursuing a career in engineering with hopes to also play football in college once he recovers from a past injury. Despite the trials that have come his way, he has always had his parents supporting him on the sidelines by coming to as many games as they can to remind him of his passion. Due to him playing the sport for so many years, football has been woven into his identity making him proud to be on Eisenhower's team.

Raymond cherishes the little moments with found family, specifically whenever they have those chances to bond; whether that be going out on the lake over the summer or piling onto each other whenever they win a game. Raymond has so much love for this team that it will never falter. Thanks to this team, Raymond learned to become “independent off the field and strong on the field”. Being that he is now so independent, Raymond is grinding harder to achieve excellence by getting assignments finished and earning his rest for the next day. This seasoned senior fully recommends football to anyone interested in joining. As he says, “You can let loose and meet new friends”. IKE thanks Raymond for your contribution to this school and the example of dedication you have towards your future. Soar high Raymond.
