The God of Mischief is Back

By: Jocelyn Olmos

The second season of Loki is right around the corner and that means an official trailer has been released. Ever since the first season of Loki has been released fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been eager to know if there would be a second season. Then, low and behold at the end of the first season there was an end credit scene saying that Loki would be back for a second season. This left fans so excited because of the major cliffhanger we were left with in season one. You know, where Loki finally thought he was back where he started at the TVA in his timeline, but he landed in another timeline.

This leads us to see in the trailer released by Marvel Entertainment that Loki is bouncing in and out of timelines. They range from the past, to the present, and the future. And Loki does not have control over where or what timeline he travels to. It is not clear if all of these timelines even know who Loki is or if the Avengers are existing superheroes in each timeline. This leads Loki to panic every time he appears into a new timeline.

Even though Loki is constantly going back and forth between different timelines there are still familiar faces in the show that we saw and loved last season. We of course have Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, Jonathan Majors as He Who Remains, Owen Wilson as Mobius, Tara Strong as the infamous Miss Minutes, Ke Huy Quan as Ouroboros, and so many more new and recurring stars.

The first episode is set to be released on Friday, October 6th, 2023. No more Loki Wednesday but what’s better than ending your week with hearing the sweet voice of Tom Hiddleston jump back and forth between timelines? Quite literally nothing.
