Yum, Brownies!

By: Hannah Chimal

I’ve been wanting to bake brownies for a really long time and I finally got the chance to bake them this weekend. I decided to follow a recipe by “The Stay At Home Chef” because the picture that was shown looked very tasty. All the ingredients that I gathered to bake these brownies included salted butter, granulated sugar, large eggs, vanilla extract, chocolate chips, all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, and salt. Before eating the brownies, I had to wait an hour for them to cool down because they were too hot. It took a while for them to bake, about 30 minutes. The recipe made nine of them, and the air smelled delicious when the brownies were close to being done. Taking the first bite of this treat was really good, it had a lot of sweetness. I loved how the brownie had chocolate chip pieces inside because they were a little melted and it all tasted great together. The outside of the brownie had a crunchy shell while the inside was nice and soft. They were very chocolatey, so I think this would be a great dessert for chocolate lovers. If you would like to bake these brownies, all the details to bake them are right here:

INGREDIENTS

  • 10 tablespoons salted butter melted

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup melted milk chocolate chips

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a metal 9x9 pan with parchment paper.

  2. Pour melted butter into a large mixing bowl. Whisk in sugar by hand until smooth, 30 seconds.

  3. Add in eggs and vanilla extract. Whisk for 1 minute.

  4. Whisk in melted chocolate until combined and smooth.

  5. Use a rubber spatula to stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined. Stir in whole chocolate chips.

  6. Pour into the prepared pan and smooth out.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 30 minutes before slicing.
