Curious as to what students who attend Eisenhower High School are wearing these days? For many older folks, you may get flashbacks of fashion trends from when you were attending high school! This goes without saying how fashion in general always repeats itself, from the low-rise jeans to velvet tracksuits. Many outfits that are seen at Ike are like a blast from the past but with a modern and personal twist on them. Students get creative with their outfits and every look is a way for them to express themselves. Why do trends from the past become so popular again though? The answer is as simple as nostalgia. For many students, their own family members are influential role models in the style that they associate themselves with. Plenty of students also identify with clothing styles from the 90’s-2000’s more than they do the 2010’s. For example, here at Eisenhower it is pretty common to see a lot of 90’s skater fashion with oversized clothing. You’ll also find a lot of early 2000’s trends from the outfits, to the makeup, as well as hair styles.
